Our community hub serves the local community in Southwark and beyond
In keeping with our history as a community anchor, we have invested in our historic home to transform it into a modern community asset and hub. We currently house 16 charities and provide community action spaces to 30,000 people every year. As a result, more than 100,000 people every year use our services.
We offer work and event spaces that improve the working conditions and lower the administrative costs of charities, community groups and social enterprises, helping them to focus on their mission.
We currently house 16 resident organisations, including charities, social enterprises and voluntary and community groups.
“Even though it would be geographically more convenient to be based near the Council offices, Cambridge House has re-established itself as the voluntary sector’s community hub in Southwark. And so, it is inconceivable for Community Action Southwark to be based anywhere else!” Gordon McCullough, CEO of Community Action Southwark (CAS)
We work together to maximise our reach, share best-practice, engage in knowledge exchange, and create a network of joined-up provisions and referral pathways.
Currently, our residents serve more than 50,000 beneficiaries ever year.
We reinvest our rental and venue income into our frontline services tackling multiple disadvantage and to keep our prices low, ensuring that our services are sustainable while supporting our resident organisations.
